- $50 Entry - Proceeds go to the Brighton Food Cupboard
The Rochester Royals are throwing our first Winter Ball in benefit of the Brighton Food Cupboard a non-profit organization based in Rochester. We will be running a Premodern main event, an Old School 93/94 side event, and a Legacy side event. We have a 155 person cap for the day.
The entry fee of $50 for all players provides:
- Access to the venue
- Registration to all events
- Pizza Lunch
As of January 21, 2025 we have closed our BBQ Lunch preregistration!
If you bring at least one item from the needed items list we will reimburse you $3.00 at the event.
Food and Drink
The venue has a cash bar with a dedicated bartender. Your entry includes a Pizza lunch. Feel free to bring your own food as well! We will be 10 minutes away from the village of Fairport which has several wonderful establishments. Lunch will be served at 1:00 PM!
Premodern Main

Join us for a 100 player cap Premodern tournament! You can find Premodern deck construction rules here . We will be allowing Gold Bordered (WC, CE/IE) cards, as well as playtest/proxy cards. Our ideal playtest/proxy cards:
- Would not be mistaken as counterfeit Magic cards
- Have all relevant card information (name, cost, rules, etc)
- Are indistinguishable in feel from the rest of your cards when sleeved
Tournament structure will be Swiss rounds followed by a Top 8 cut.
Top 8 will draft prizing based on standing:
- Custom Carpet with Magic card back
- Framed Oversized Arena Plains
- Framed Oversized Arena Island
- Framed Oversized Arena Swamp
- Framed Oversized Arena Mountain
- Framed Oversized Arean Forest
- Ice Age #1-4 Armada Comics
- Art of Zenidkar Book

Come play one of the most powerful formats! Playtest/proxy cards allowed! Tournament structure will be Swiss with a Top 8. Stamped Brainstorms are up for grabs for the Top 8!
