- $60 Entry - Proceeds go to the Brighton Food Cupboard
The Rochester Royals are throwing our annual Winter Ball in benefit of the Brighton Food Cupboard a non-profit organization based in Rochester. We will be running a Premodern main event, and Atlantic Old School 93/94 side event. We have an 88 person cap for the day.
The entry fee of $60 for all players provides:
- Access to the venue
- Registration to all events
- BBQ Lunch from Dinosaur BBQ
If you bring at least one item from the needed items list we will reimburse you $5.00 at the event.
Food and Drink
The venue has a cash bar with a dedicated bartender. Your entry includes a BBQ lunch from Dinosaur BBQ. Feel free to bring your own food as well! We will be 10 minutes away from the village of Fairport which has several wonderful establishments. Lunch will be served at 1:00 PM!
Playtest Cards
The Rochester Royals firmly believes that Magic is about The Gathering. To make sure as many folks are able to Gather with us any event hosted and run by The Rochester Royals allows the use of Playtest/Proxy cards in any quantity.
Our ideal playtest/proxy cards:
- Would not be mistaken as counterfeit Magic cards
- Have all relevant card information (name, cost, rules, etc)
- Are indistinguishable in feel from the rest of your cards when sleeved

Premodern Main

Join us for a day of Premodern! You can find Premodern deck construction rules here . We will be allowing Gold Bordered (WC, CE/IE) cards, as well as playtest/proxy cards. Tournament structure will be Swiss rounds followed by a Top 8 cut.
Top 8 will draft prizing based on standing:
- World Championship Windswept Heath in Handmade Trophy
- World Championship Sphere of Resistance in Handmade Trophy
- World Championship Parallax Wave in Handmade Trophy
- World Championship Powder Keg in Handmade Trophy
- World Championship Academy Rector in Handmade Trophy
- World Championship Dust Bowl in Handmade Trophy
- World Championship Final Fortune in Handmade Trophy
- World Championship City of Brass in Handmade Trophy
In addition our finalist will recieved an Original Painting by David Raczka!
OS 93/94 Side

Come jam some Atlantic 93/94 with us! EC/American reprint policy, playtest/proxy cards allowed! Tournament structure will be Swiss with a Top 8. We have our very own Winter Ball up for grabs (Altered UNL Icy Manipulator by MG Alters)!

Struck out in the main? Still hungry for glory? Join us for a second chance! Premodern deck construction rules here . We will be allowing Gold Bordered (WC, CE/IE) cards, as well as playtest/proxy cards. Tournament structure will be Swiss (adjusted for time) rounds followed by a Top 8 cut.
